Studying the growth and development of lilac sprouts.

Description

16 different satellite missions within the framework of the Space-PI project with the participation of students and schoolchildren.

The team of Engineering Center NRU BelSU on the OrbiCraft-Pro SXC3 platform of SPUTNIX developed a module with lilac sprouts. It will allow you to explore the state of germs in space.

The device contains 4 lilac sprouts of the Great Pobeda variety, which are in a special nutrient medium. To monitor the plant, a camera and sensors are installed in the module that determine the parameters of the environment. All information received during communication sessions is sent to the control center.

The lilac sprout of the Great Victory variety has become the most distant living plant from planet Earth (a record for Russia). On August 16, 2022, the maximum estimated distance at the apogee of the orbit was recorded - 530.118 km above sea level.
