Description	SPOC-3127 is Planetek’s mission that will design, build and operate a single EO-image-processing and optical communications CubeSat, named OptiSat, within the next two years, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, and the Greek Government - National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Greece 2.0. OptiSat aims to provide secure connectivity, using a state-of-the-art in-orbit laser terminal, augmented by the patented on-board data compression and clouds classification solution of Planetek Hellas (EP3347852), executing on Planetek’s SpaceEdge© computing framework payload. These combined, will implement on-board clouds classification, on pre-loaded microcamera-captured EO images, enabling Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) based, autonomous decisions for the CubeSat to choose the proper cloud-free Optical Ground Station and establish a secure connectivity link, when passing over Greek territory. OptiSat is targeting thus to achieve TRL-9 for the above-mentioned space-segment products, complemented by Planetek's ground segment Digital Mission Operations and Payload Data Ground Segment platforms Ermes and Kadmos.
