Provide radio amateurs a LEO orbital linear transponder so bidirectional communications are possible in its footprint.

Description

Allows voice communication to radio amateurs, and that will be equipped with a simple Morse beacon. Provide radio amateurs a LEO orbital linear transponder so bidirectional communications are possible in its footprint.

Limited experimental store and forward capabilities will be provided as well. Secondary missions include analyzing the data sent in the telemetry so students can check and improve the platform for future uses in other radio-amateur satellites.

The EASAT-2satellite, designed and built jointly by AMSAT-EA and students of the European University of the Degrees in Aerospace Engineering in Aircraft and in Telecommunication Systems Engineering, with contributions from ICAI in the communications part, incorporates as experimental cargo basaltic material from Lanzarote, similar to lunar basalts, provided by the research group on meteorites and planetary geosciences of the CSIC at the Institute of Geosciences, IGEO (CSIC-UCM) and that could be used as a building material on the Moon. This project was promoted and has the collaboration of the ETSICCP (UPM).

Failure cause Antennas not deployed, very weak signals.
