In-orbit demonstration (IOD) that will test several technologies.

Description

SOAP and PANDORE will showcase U-Space's proficiency in nanosatellites construction. Its PANDORE mission is an innovative in-orbit demonstration (IOD) that will test several technologies.

SOAP is the first French and European satellite for detecting space objects and debris in Low Earth Orbit, a demonstrator mission is financed by France2030, in collaboration with CNES. The Airbus-built instrument, placed on a small satellite built by our partner USpace, will collect Space Surveillance & Tracking (SST) data to help make Space safer. The satellite will detect debris and other objects in Space to improve our knowledge of their presence and positioning and help faster response and decision making to protect space assets.
