High atmospheric research for the spatially resolved characterization of the lower thermosphere.

Description

High atmospheric research for the spatially resolved characterization of the lower thermosphere, about using the already in successful use on the ISS FIPEX sensors for the determination of the atomic oxygen content, electrostatic probes for the characterization of atmospheric plasma and / or piezoelectric Weltraumschrott- and dust particle detectors.

Testing of a miniaturized re-entry capsule using the RICA-heat protection material developed in cooperation at the IRS and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Development and flight testing of a scaled-down version of the Institute of Space Systems (IRS) developed pulsed plasma thruster ADD-SIMPLEX. Validation of numerical codes reentry and atmospheric models.
