Evaluate the use of computer vision for orbit determination in lieu of traditional GPS for small satellites.

Description

Two 1U Cubesats. The CubeSat transmitter will send telemetry with payload data and heartbeat signals to monitor spacecraft health and status during operations. Ground telecommands will help ensure nominal mission operations.

The goal of the Argus mission is to evaluate the use of computer vision for orbit determination in lieu of traditional GPS for small satellites. Additionally, Argus serves as a design exercise for CMU students in building, deploying and maintaining a small spacecraft for LEO applications.
