Equipped with radio occultation sounding equipment. |
| Description |
The Khors No. 3 and Khors No. 4 small spacecraft are used for hydrometeorological purposes. They are equipped with radio occultation sounding equipment for the Earth's atmosphere and ionosphere (ROS), which receives signals from global navigation satellite systems that have passed through the ionosphere and atmosphere, in order to reconstruct the total electron content, temperature, humidity, and pressure profiles. The devices are also equipped with automatic identification system (AIS) equipment, which allows them to receive signals from river and sea vessels. The experiment to test a new type of electric rocket propulsion system will continue on the Khors No. 3 apparatus. |
