Unique biological payload aimed to assess the risk of infections during long-term space missions |
Description |
Unique biological payload aimed to assess the risk of infections during long-term space missions. Includes biology, microfluidics, and instrumentation. Carries a custom optical measurement payload platform for a biological experiment that will measure the virulence and drug resistance of the C. albicans yeast in a space environment. The results of this research are intended to be used to inform human space travel in the future. Secondary missions include the training and education of our team members in the design and development of spacecraft, as well as in the operation of radio equipment. |
