Description	AE3Va utilizes the “Large Antenna Model” of ArkEdge Space’s 6U satellite bus, building on the company’s VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) technology following the successful deployment of AE1d earlier this year. The mission will demonstrate VDES antenna deployment and performance enhancements to VDES receiver technologies for maritime communication applications. VDES enables bidirectional digital communication between satellites and maritime vessels and is expected to play a key role in advancing safety, navigation, and digitalization at sea as part of the next-generation maritime information infrastructure.
