Sub-satellite of ESMO for gravity mapping. |
| Description |
Payload on the European Student Moon Orbiter (ESMO) mission as part of the SSETI programme of the European Space Agency's Education Office. Once the Lunette sub-satellite separates in lunar orbit, ESMO will act as a parent satellite during range-rate measurement. However, Lunette is customizable to fly on any future lunar mission. Gravity mapping will be achieved through means of continuous radio range-rate measurements between a parent satellite and sub-satellite in a polar along-track low altitude orbit. |
