Oneliner	Kreios Space is developing an electric propulsion system for satellites. This technology is called ABEP (Air-Breathing Electric Propulsion) and it allows satellites to orbit closer to Earth without fuel usage.
Description	The ABEP system absorbs the surrounding air and generates plasma from it. This plasma is accelerated through an IPT thruster and an electromagnetic nozzle to obtain a high specific impulse thrust.
Notes	Accepted to ESA BIC Barcelona in 2023. Elecnor Deimos and Kreios Space sign an agreement to develop the world’s first satellite for Very Low Earth Orbits.In the collaboration, Deimos will design the satellite platform to integrate Kreios Space’s ABEP propulsion system. This will be the world’s first commercial satellite platform capable of operating indefinitely in very low Earth orbits (VLEO), 2023-12-04.
